SOMATIC BREATHWORK

Somatic breathwork is a holistic approach to breathing that focuses on the connection between the mind, body, and breath. It is a form of therapy or self-care practice that combines conscious breathing techniques with somatic (body-centered) awareness. The goal of somatic breathwork is to promote emotional and physical healing, reduce stress and anxiety, and increase overall well-being. Somatic breathwork involves becoming aware of your breath and intentionally changing its patterns.

TAI CHI

Tai Chi, also known as Tai Chi Chuan or Taijiquan, is an ancient Chinese martial art that has evolved into a popular form of exercise and mindfulness practice. It is characterized by its slow and flowing movements, which are often performed with deep breathing and a meditative focus. Tai Chi is known for its numerous health benefits and is practiced by people of all ages around the world. Tai Chi emphasizes the integration of the mind and body. Practitioners focus on their breath, movements, and the sensations in their body during practice, promoting mindfulness and relaxation. It has a series of choreographed movements that flow seamlessly from one to the next. These movements are typically performed slowly and gracefully, with an emphasis on balance and control. Tai Chi exercises help improve balance, coordination, and flexibility.

SOUND HEALING

Sound healing is a holistic and ancient approach to heal the body and mind. We use the vibrations, frequencies, and harmonics of sound to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It is based on the idea that since everything has frequency and vibrations, sound can have a profound impact on our bodies and minds, and can help to restore balance and harmony. There are various techniques and instruments we use in our sound healing sessions, including:

  • Vocal Toning

  • Singing Bowls

  • Tuning Forks

  • Drumming

  • Gongs

  • Binaural Beats

  • Nature Sounds

REIKI

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy that is often categorized as energy healing. It is rooted in Japanese tradition and was developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. The word "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "rei," which means universal or spiritual, and "ki," which means life energy or vital force.

As Reiki practitioners, we channel energy through our hands, either by placing our hands on or near the recipient's body or by sending healing energy from a distance. This energy, also referred to as "life force energy," flows through all living things and can become blocked or unbalanced, leading to physical or emotional distress. As Reiki practitioners, we aim to rebalance and harmonize this energy, which is aimed to promote physical and emotional healing.

GUIDED MEDITATION

Guided meditation is a form of meditation in which you are led through a specific meditation practice. It's a popular approach to meditation, especially for beginners, because it provides structured and verbal guidance to help you relax, focus your mind, and achieve a state of mindfulness or inner peace. During the session, we provide step-by-step instructions and soothing commentary to lead you through the process by helping you relax your body and mind. This might involve deep breathing exercises or progressive muscle relaxation to reduce tension.  We use visualization, asking you to imagine calming scenes, such as a serene beach, a forest, or a meadow. Visualization can help shift the mind away from stress and anxiety. Guided meditations aim to cultivate mindfulness, which involves staying fully present in the moment without judgment. We prompt you to pay attention to your breath, bodily sensations, thoughts, and emotions. Some of our guided meditations include positive affirmations, which are short, positive statements or intentions that can help reframe thought patterns and promote a positive mindset. The guided meditation typically concludes with a gentle transition back to everyday awareness, helping you gradually return to a more alert state. Guided meditations are used for a variety of purposes, including stress reduction, relaxation, personal growth, and spiritual development. They are also a helpful tool for those who find it challenging to meditate on their own or who are new to the practice of meditation.
